LIFE IS HER OYSTER

Liam Moriarty

in this KPLU radio segment Liam Moriarty walks the tide flats of Case Inlet (south Puget Sound) with Betsy Peabody, executive director of the Puget Sound Restoration Fund.

They're searching for Olympia oysters which still exist, but they're not very plentiful.  Their numbers today are only about 4% of the number that existed in the past.  Betsy shows how their numbers are estimated and talks about the history and future of these native oysters.
